TOURNAMENT RULES

1… Each contestant is expected to observe the common sense rules of courtesy, safety, sportsmanship and conservation.

 

2… Each contestant will be required to wear a chest-type U.S. Coast Guard approved life preserver whenever the boat is on a plane.

 

3… Only artificial lures are permitted. No live or prepared baits are allowed. Pork strips and rinds may be used.

 

4… Bass must be caught alive and in the traditional manner. Fish that appear to have been dead for a very long time, or that appear to have been frozen (white eyed), or that appear to have been caged (red-finned or scarred), will not be counted. This is at the soul desecration of the weigh masters.

 

5… Winners shall be determined by total weight, with a maximum of five (5) bass per boat. At no time will contestants have more than two (2) fish over the limit in their possession. NO CULLING/RELEASING FISH AT RAMP! A (3) tenths penalty will be assessed for each dead fish. If the fish does not swim upright in the tank after 2-3 attempts, the fish will be counted as dead. The minimum length shall be FOURTEEN INCHES (14”) with mouth closed and tail moving side to side. Any fish turned in that is under fourteen inches, that team will then BE **DISQULALIFID. REMEMBER-MEASURE FISH WITH A CLOSED MOUTH AND PINCHED TAIL. The Golden Rule is the official measure. Any team bringing more than five (5) fish to the scales will be DISQUALIFIED. Do not bring any questionable fish to the scales.

 

6… Trolling will not be permitted (line out behind the boat while under either electric or gasoline power). NO DRAGGING!

 

7… Littering, bad manners or non-sportsman like conduct will be considered grounds for disqualification.

 

8… No fishing is permitted within fifty (50) yards of another contestant’s boat. PLEASE use common courtesy. The fifty- (50) yard rule is trolling motor up with anchor out.

 

9… There will be no off limits. (except during Classic, after day one weigh-in)

 

10… In case of a tie, the team with the most fish or largest fish will win, in that order. If still tied, tournament officials will determine the tiebreaker.

 

11… All decisions of the tournament officials will be final and uncontestable.

 

12… Breaking any rules may be grounds for disqualification.

 

13… Any persons caught fighting or cheating will be ejected from the club.

 

14… Running lights are required at the start of the tournament. If running lights are not operational, that team will start last at safe light.

 

15… If more than (1) 22-inch fish per person is weighed in then new penalty will apply. (THAT TEAM WILL BE **DISQUALIFIED).

 

**Disqualified for that days catch only

 

All interpretations and decisions will be made by the Tournament Director and is FINAL
